About Leukine®
Leukine® (sargramostim) is a man-made form of a colony-stimulating factor (CSF). A CSF is a type of protein known as a growth factor that your body produces to help increase the number and function of your white blood cells (WBCs). This means that Leukine is almost identical to a CSF that your body makes when it is functioning normally. Leukine is also known as granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor, or GM-CSF for short.
